Best cam only LS1 engine upgrades in Australia

A picture named Active dyno graph5.jpg Its no secret that The LS1/LS2 Chev V8 fitted to late model Commodores is very responsive to cam upgrades. This example of a typical COME "Bracketmaster" fitted into a totally stock 5.7 LS1 engine, along with fully upgraded exhaust system and accurate real time "mafless" tuning by Active Automotive in Perth (08)9456-1111 shows the enormous gains possible. Driveability and even fuel economy is still very reasonable.

Eddie from Active Automotive along with many other real tuning experts around the country have been supplying and fitting our COME LS1 cams now for the last few years after failing to achieve anywhere near the results with other locally made LS1 cams or imported U.S brands. It's not only power/torque outputs which are relevant to these experts in the field. Proper cam designs offer QUIET valve train operation, reduced wear on valvetrain parts and very long valve spring life. Our cams have proven these benefits consistently as well as the ultimate in power output.

We know there have been numerous local cam grinders, who as a result of our cam designs effectiveness, have copied our profiles. Although that is very flattering it is also proof that these designs are the best available. Unfortunately, copies are never quite the same as the original master cam which is ground on a CNC grinder to 1,000,000th of an inch accuracy and this simply cannot be duplicated by a mile with conventional cam grinding machines. We are still the only cam company in Australia that designs all cam profiles in house, tests these profiles in engines built in house on our Superflow computerised engine dyno to ensure the results will be achieved by anyone.

We use HPTuners software to optimise tuning results and offer these baseline tunes to any professional or home tuners using HPTuners as a very viable and close starting point. Our LS1/LS2 cam range is huge with over 30 individual grinds to suit these engines and development continues daily with new grinds being developed and tested constantly. Our success with traditional Holden V8 camshaft profiles has spilled over into the LS1 cam range. For those with Holden, Chev and Ford V8's as well as the late model Holden V6 engines we offer a vast range of profiles for all these engines.
