LS1 427ci Crate motor

With the enormous popularity of the LS1/LS2 V8's in modern Commodore model cars, the demand for readily available "big" capacity powerplants is growing at a very rapid rate. This example shown here on our dyno is bound for a customer with a VZ model Monaro. The engine is one of our typical "daily driver" 427ci (7 litre) engines featuring brand new LS7 GM alloy block, big port GM Performance Parts cylinder heads and matching factory intake. The heads are brand new also and feature our best "COME125" conical valve springs and chrome moly steel ratainers, a full 3 angle valve seat job and with flow figures just over 660 bhp potential it's no wonder this conservative streetable combination produces 583 bhp @ 5750 rpm and 570 ft.lbs torque @ 5000 rpm. Best part of course is this engine makes a whopping 468 ft.lbs torque as low as 2750 rpm. An insane driving experience in anyones book and importantly with incrediblly smooth street manners only a big engine can provide.

Fully built long motors as well as built and dyno run in engines are also available as are unassembled versions of all these engines for those who prefer to assemble themselves. With a long 3.8750" stroke and your typical 4.030" bore size these will become popular with those wishing to stretch the Holden V8 cast iron block engine to its largest possible capacity. 3) NEW! and available by the 20th October, our long awaited (sorry for the delay everyone) Holden Ecotec V6 Twin Throttle Body intake plenum. This is the best way to increase torque and power of a stock right though to fully built Ecotec V6. Ideal for strokers and boost applications as well. Comes complete with throttle cable bracket to use OEM factory cable. Machined to accept all original sensors including TPS, Idle air etc. Also inclueds a great cast alloy intake snorkel to allow hookup to stock or aftermarket MAF and air box ducting. The snorkel has additional material cast into it to allow internal boring for much larger intake entry size. This is especially useful for the strokers, boost engines and highly modified 3.8 V6's. Our Twin Throttle body is a tried and proven design with dual 58mm bores made from the best grade of billet aluminium available. The best part actually is that the original factory engine cover fits with only minor modifications so no one needs to know what is lurking under the bonnet. The complete manifold plenum is...$1750.00 This is a bargain based on a minimum of 20kw power gain and even more torque low down, mid range as well as up top than a stock intake sutup. It bolts on directly onto your original factory intake runner base in 1/2 an hour or so.
4) NEW! Our latest expanded range of LS1/LS2/LS7 hydraulic roller camshafts continues to grow. Will at least another 10 new grinds ranging from 228 degrees @.050" duration up to 275 degrees duration @.050" for the full on big capacity engines. Extensive testing has now been completed and the results are fantastic. In fact the 427ci engine shown above has a pretty mild (for the size of the engine) new grind fitted. This is our part # LSCH-936 236 degrees intake duration @.050" and 246 degrees duration @.050", .560" lift on both and ground on 114 degree lobe centres for excellent idle and broader torque spread in the bigger engines from 6 litres up. Our cams are all $660.00 and our own designed conical springs to suit including chrome moly retainers are $440.00 for both. As with all COME Racing's LS1 cams, they make the most power and torque, have the quietest valvetrain operation and will produce the longest life valvetrains of any other brands. These are facts which many Australian performance shops and engine builders have discovered over the last year or so and have switched to our products primarily because of these factors and our enormous range of real dyno and in car developed grinds. 5) Ever popular, our COME Twin Throttle body intake manifold for the Holden EFI V8's from 1989-99. This manifold has become a household name in the peformance industry and sells as fast as we can make them because they really work. We do not recommend these for stock or very mild 5 litre engines as the loss in low down torque reduces potential off the line acceleration. They are perfectly suited to the stroker engines from 355ci upwards. On typical troker engines these manifolds will increase power by a minimum of 40kw over the original single throttle body manifold. For the price of $2500.00 delivered to your door, this is really the Holden V8's performance bargain of all time. This intake is also excellent on boosted 5 litre engines or strokers. The design has no peer in the reduction of manifold air temps reducing the injector size requirements and the ability to add significantly more spark to boost throttle response and torque.
6) Traditional Small Block Chev forged 4340 steel cranks have never been cheaper! We have too many of our 383 (3.750" stroke), 400ci (3.750" stroke and 400 main size), 400ci (3.8750" stroke 400 main size), 400ci (4.00" stroke 400 main size).
