427ci LS1 Short motors June Special

It's close to tax time and we need to move as much stock as possible. If you were planning to build a "big" LS1 based engine for normally aspirated or boost use...this is the time to do it. We are offering 427ci LS1 short motors including brand new LS7 factory alloy blocks fitted with our ever popular stroker kits to bring capacity up to a torque wrenching 427ci or 7 litres. There are several options available and any of them are truly never to be repeated bargains.

1) 427ci normally aspirated short motor featuring new fully machined LS7 alloy GM block, COME 4340 forged steel stroker crank (4.00" stroke), 4340 forged steel "H" beam conrods and either Wiseco or Diamond Racing forged pistons. The new bulletproof crank assembly is internally balanced and crank is fitted with your choice of earlier 24 tooth or later 58 tooth crank angle sensor wheel. This short motor is fully assembled including any of our latest COME Racing roller camshafts, GM style timing chain and gear sets. The short comes with new matching valley cover and timing case as well as high performance oil pump assembly fitted. This awesome short block which incidentally is physically the same dimensions as your 5.7 LS1 or 6.0 LS2 engine (making a direct swap for those very simple) is priced fully assembled and outright...$9900.00

2) 427ci normally aspirated short motor with all the features and parts of short motor # 1 above but supplied UNASSEMBLED is...$9000.00

3) 427ci BOOST application short motor with the same features as short block # 1 but has the additional items included. This short block has low compression boost designed custom Wiseco or Diamond Racing forged pistons and an ARP main bearing stud kit fitted to handle the extra load of boost applications. This fully assembled and outright BOOST short block is priced outright...$11,000.00

4) 427ci BOOST application short motor as the above # 3 short block but supplied UNASSEMBLED is...$10,000.00

With any of these short blocks you simply need to add a good pair of heads like the factory L76 versions with matching manifold and you have the basis of an incredible street or street/strip engines for an unbelievably low price. COME RACING machineshop...

We receive many calls every day from trade as well as do it yourselfer engine builders about the lack of a good local mchineshop to carry out precision machining on cylinder heads, cylinder blocks, crankshafts, con rods, camshafts and other engine components. Remember that the attention to detail in final component machining is the difference between a long life engine with a minimum of internal friction and capable of making maximum power potential due to accurately mated or blueprinted components. No matter how much money you spend on parts they become worthless very quickly if the cylinder block, cylinder heads or other home for these parts is not accurately machined.

DRAG RACE CAR FOR SALE...

We are offering for sale our 1996 Pro Stock Oldsmobile Cutlass race car. We are tired of waiting for a new and viable Drag Race track to appear here in Melbourne and as such have decided to sell the wonderful Olds Cutlass we campaigned successfully till 2001. The car held the A/AP Australian record for over 5 years and would still be totally competitive in Competition Eliminator A/APM class today. It will run under the index in this class (below 7.20's @ over 193 mph) at any good track. The car was built brand new by world renowned U.S chassis builder Jerry Haas, has done no more than 200 passes from brand new and has been updated in late 2006 with the latest wheels, tyres, newest state of the art Lamb Struts and brakes, Jerry Haas rear anti roll bar, latest wheelie bars from Haas as well as brand new dual Stroud Pro Stock chutes. The car has a 500ci Pro Stock Oldsmobile DRCE II engine making 1300 bhp on our dyno and a brand new Ace 8" dual plate Titanium Pro clutch as well as brand new (5 passes only) lightweight Lenco 5 speed transmission. The Mark Williams alloy diff centre has brand new rem polished and cryo treated gears with also only 5 passes on it.
