383ci Holden Bracketmaster Engine

A picture named DSC_1830 [800x600].JPG

The latest version of our popular 383ci engine packages shown above is one of many coming off the dyno regularly. Both EFI versions and carb versions are being built more than any other Holden V8 engines we currently offer.

This latest engine featuring our new single 4 barrel intake, off the shelf Holley #4779 Double Pumper 750cfm carb, Bosch HEI electronic distributor, our 2009 VN style alloy heads (out of the box) unported and in this case a pretty conservative COME Cam part # HVH-234 hydraulic flat tappet design.

In the bottom end, our forged piston 383 stroker kit with "I" beam 4340 steel rods and our nodular cast iron 3.750" stroke crank all spell ultra reliability. This engine made 480 bhp @ 5500 rpm and 470 ft.lbs torque @ 4500 rpm with over 420 ft.lbs as low as 2750 rpm. You simply could never have a better street engine with excellent manners and the ability to run low 11's in full street trim with streetable torque converter and street rear end gearing in the mid 3's at the most.

We can supply all the parts for you to emulate this combination easily or if you provide us with your original 5 litre engine to build one the cost fully built and dyno run in...EFI or carb is $16,000 The EFI version has high flow injectors and our Twin Throttle Body EFI intake fitted. Such an engine is also available outright with no exchange for $18,000

This is a no brainer approach to incredible street/strip performance with realistic street manners for both city or highway cruising.

355 Holden Crank woes! In the past 12 months we've received many phone calls and emails from customers throughout Australia and even in New Zealand regarding the commonplace breakage of our competitors 355 Holden stroker cranks.

As with everything in life, you will usually get what you pay for. Many trade customers who were buying OUR stroker cranks for years jumped on the "cheaper" crank bandwagon and have lived to rue the day they ever did this. Others, purely intent on maximising profit margins with little or no regard for the quality of the products they put in their customers engines, continue to play Russian roulette with your money by fitting the cheap and nasty cranks.

We suggest you ask your engine builders whose crank or stroker kit they are going to use in "your" new engine. Make sure you specifically ask them to use our setup as you can rest assured the crank will not be breaking like those others which are badly designed and are cast using the cheapest materials available.

COME Cams...we can supply tried and tested camshafts to help you achieve the correct end result from your Holden Stroker or LS1 engine based stroker projects. The flat tappet Holden cams are all $385.00 for virtually any of our huge range of hydraulic or solid grinds. All our LS1 cams are $550.00

Call or email us if you have any specific questions regarding any of our products or services. We are open 8.30am-5.00pm Monday to Friday Phone # (03)9571-4204 or (03)9571-9605 Email come@comeracing.com Trade enquiries workshop@comeracing.com
